1. Front Page photo:
I have always berated musicians who continue to flog old hits and attempt to cling onto past glory. This rather uncharitable attitude fails to take in the fact that some of their audience still derive pleasure from the music and their appearances.
Way back in the late 70's I had a Canadian hit with the song Round, Round We Go.
Me sitting in the rain surrounded by blackberry thorns and trying to restore an old carousel is my way of expressing the futility of all the above. The carousel clearly is un-repairable and will never again go Round and Round.
Ironically, a number of friends convinced me to do a 2nd Cd entitled "Earlier Times Unplugged" which lends acoustic treatment to some of the older songs from the Trooper and Body Electric days.
I would hope that these are new treaments and I am not "sitting on my laurels" such as they were. Either way, as the first song on "It's about Time" says, it's o.k. to do this, 'Cuz I Feel Like It. Hopefully you'll enjoy comparing them with the originals.
so there you have it

It's been 16 years. Amazing huh! Reading your "Principal, What Principles" page brought back old times. It's nice to see what you've been up to. I checked out your new tunes, awesome!
I hope all is well with you and your family.
I will never forget this quote of yours "When I'm yelling at someone for being a doughnut head, don't go and be a double doughnut head!" I believe that was directed at our drummer, Daniel.
Anyhow, take care.
